1. Overview Botify Proxy Switcher & Bypass ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that provides proxy management and browser fingerprint bypass functionality. This policy explains what data the Extension handles and how.

2. Data We Collect The Extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer or any third party.

The following data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API:

  • Proxy server configurations you enter (host, port, protocol, optional username and password)
  • Currently active proxy index
  • Feature toggle states (Auto Switch, Bypass, Direct, Force Switch)
  • Auto-switch trigger preferences
  • UI theme preference (dark or light)

This data never leaves your device except to establish the proxy connections you configure.

3. Network Requests The Extension makes outbound requests to public IP-detection APIs (api.ipify.org, api.seeip.org, ipapi.co, icanhazip.com) solely to display your current outbound IP address in the popup. No identifying information about you is sent with these requests beyond what a normal browser request includes (i.e. the outbound IP address of your current connection, which is the entire point of the query).

4. Website Interaction When Bypass mode is active, the Extension clears cookies, cache, and storage for the specific website you are currently visiting. It does not read, record, or transmit the content of those cookies or any other page content.

The fingerprint randomisation content script (fx-core.js) modifies browser API return values locally within the page's JavaScript environment. It does not read or exfiltrate any data from the page.

5. Permissions All permissions requested by the Extension are used solely to implement the proxy management and bypass features described in the store listing. See the store listing for a full per-permission explanation.

6. Children's Privacy The Extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes If this policy is updated, the updated version will be posted at the same URL with a revised date.
